Oh God, Cheryl reacting to the non-diegetic music is the hardest I've laughed in figuratively forever.

There's no way it would be celebrating its bicentennial, either. Apparently the oldest town in Minnesota is Wabasha, which was founded in 1826.
Best line of the episode: Erin saying "Dwight, you have some guests. I think they're from the forest where we harvest our paper?"
Perhaps the most amazing thing about the ninth season is how much better a character Nellie has turned out to be. Her "Oh, I don't care" reply to Toby's Chet Flenderman story was genuinely hilarious. I also greatly enjoyed the revelation that she'd been consciously positioning herself as a villain in the documentary.
Yeah, the fact that the episode didn't draw any attention to that was what made it great.
This is definitely my favourite episode of the season, too. I identify with Britta to a probably unhealthy degree, and I'm immensely relieved to see that her character, at least, is still being written well. (I assume we have Megan Ganz to thank for that.)
You've never read a review of something you're not interested in by an author you admire because you're interested in how the author reacted to that work, and how he phrased his response? Your loss.
The idea that criticism can't be an original contribution to the world of art is utterly asinine.
Hey, there's still time! Let's hug the AV Club again!
Oh dear, this is very sad. Rest in peace, Mr. Ebert.
But now you've got "Two Princes" back in my head, Burl! Ha… huh.
For this song specifically, we actually find out that it's in line with their taste in music in the second episode - it's off the same CD that Lane comes rushing in with for Lorelai and Rory to listen to at the start of the episode.
Is it weird that, during the dance, I just ended up wondering where the school found the DJ? XTC's "We're All Light" is clearly actually playing during the event, but it seems like an overly hip or obscure choice for a stuffy private high school's dance.
Yes, the fight at the end of Rory's Dance, especially, is the best demonstration so far of the fact that Alexis Bledel just isn't as good an actress as Lauren Graham or Kelly Bishop.
Is Lance Crouther busy these days? I'd love to see a talk show hosted by Pootie Tang.
Tell me more!
Wait a minute, is this album being released by the actual Creed Bratton, or by the character he plays on The Office?
Agonizingly Slow Harlem Shuffle
"Who is this versus" is one of those phrases that you don't realize the universe has needed all along until you actually hear them.
UPDATE: JESS FRANCO IS STILL DEAD!!!
