Thinking about this movie has just given me the idea for a gritty Upstairs, Downstairs reboot. Now, if only the Escher estate will play ball…

As in, they'd start off the movie being partners who are also best friends, and whose personalities are perfectly matched, but about halfway through the movie they realize that they work horribly together, and they can't stand the sight of each other? I would watch the shit out of that.

I think you mean "Mare".

"Top Cop, Bottom Cop"? Wait, that sounds like an entirely different kind of movie…

Also, all the "Up Top" people should be constantly high-fiving to celebrate the fact that their planet is the rich, domineering one.

I'm guessing this would have got at least a D+ if all the "Down Below" people spoke with Australian accents.

This has nothing to do with Taylor Swift, but I feel that the AV Club needs to be informed. Here is definitive photographic proof that Mitt Romney is capable of having a slightly more fun birthday than Kirk Cameron.

But they had Good Times!

I think we're all missing the real story here: Beady Eye performed non-Beady Eye music, mate!

"15-year anniversary"? Come on Sean. The term is "fifteenth anniversary".

If you were to ask me if a bunch of draculas might get together, or a bunch of wolfmans, then yes. They probably do have very good parties - we'll never know.

While skeptics declare it impossible, novelty songs seem to suggest quite the opposite.

So, at the 20000 AMUs party, during the song that Marnie cuts off to put her own music on, I can't have been the only one thinking "Hey! That's the name of the show!"

Liked just for liking "Let Down".

@Scrawler I still remember the joy I felt when the word on the street was "Solidarność"

OK gang, let's cut the shit. Here's the correct answers:

I honestly think Adore is the best Smashing Pumpkins album.

If we're talking Ellington, I think "Take The A Train" is the most unimpeachable track of the 20th century.
