Vogel gives Dexter a pass on Doakes probably assuming that if Dexter killed him he must have met the code, which if you remember Doakes most certainly did.

This was certainly better than the creepy stalker nascent serial killer version of Superman that Bryan Singer regurgitated a couple of years ago.

But not before Walder Frey catches Arya Stark and makes her his next bride.

Damn, Owen, they're going to pay us that much to star in a two hour infomercial for Google?!?

100% on the money.  Even though I hadn't read the books I knew that Robb and company were doomed the minute the stepped foot into the Twins.  My horror at the RW was affected not only by the physical brutality of it but also because it denied me the satisfaction of a well-deserved reunion of my favorite character,

Frey was sitting behind a rather impressive solid wood table covered with a heavy table cloth.  Her chances at getting to Frey were essentially zero, especially with a crossbow bolt impaling her shoulder.  She grabbed the nearest hostage and hoped for the best.

When you play the game of thrones you either win or you die.
The Starks, so far, have lost.

You seem to be forgetting that, it was Roose Bolton's men who chopped off Jaime Lannister's hand.

Hate to break this to you sunshine, but a major subplot in the second half of book three is Walder Frey's search for a new child bride.

Really, you've watched GOT since the beginning and only found the Starks to be worthy of identification?!?  There's Tyrion, Danaerys, The Onion Knight, Gendry as well as interesting developments in the redemption of characters like The Hound and Jaime Lannister.

Hate to break this to you, but Sansa isn't in a very good position right now.
If she doesn't consummate the marriage with Tyrion then Joffrey and the goon squad are going to show up one night and make sure she gets impregnated anyway.
Once she gives birth to a boy then she's expendable since the Lannister's will have

You've also got the horror of Arya being so close to being reunited with her family, only to have that snatched away and then to add insult to injury, having to be rescued by a Hound that she hates.

Agreed, but Robb had shown before that he was a competent military tactician, particularly in the battle where the kingslayer was taken prisoner.  Robb split his forces in order to feint a battle against one army while at the same time flanking the army he wished to destroy, which was successful.
Robb's failure was the

If you didn't pick up on the fact that Robb Stark was doomed the minute he started bedding then marrying Talisa then you weren't paying much attention anyway.

I wouldn't bet on Joffrey having a life-span that reaches much past maturity, especially with Melisandre drawing blood from the bastard.
I also wouldn't put it past Tywin to have the young whelp offed if he gets too uppity.

Is should also be mentioned that Anya Ormsby was Alan's wife at the time.
Tom Savini also did the make-up effects in Death Dream, I believe it was his first gig after getting released from the Army.

Shhhh, don't say that too loudly.  Ellison will sue the estate of Bob Clarke.
The film is clearly a riff on The Monkey's Paw.

Generally I prefer to watch Myazaki's films in the original Japanese, that's the way these films were originally intended to be seen and I trust Myazaki's decisions on how the actor's should play the roles.  Also, anyone with even the smallest knowledge of the history of anime knows that the early dub-jobs on

Howl suffers from being the one made after Spirited Away, a film easily in the top 25 films, let alone animated ones, ever made.  The technical aspects of the animation, in particular the Moving Castle itself, are as good as anything Myazaki's ever animated.

Personal favorite is Castle in the Sky, although Spirited Away and Kiki's Delivery Service come in close seconds.
