Mallory's gay-bashing Ray is pretty much a core part of her character.  Notice she's always throwing racist comments Lana's way. She's racist, elitist, homophobic, a horrible parent, and all in all a miserable human being.  I think PCing her character would actually make her less interesting or funny.
