My turn
I got:

Erykah Badu & New Amerykah
So, from what I've heard/read about this album, "Honey" (the track that got posted, and the first single off the album) is actually a hidden track on the album, and not really representative in tone… or anything, I guess, with the rest of the tracks.

Now, I'm glad I didn't go for it.

Reboot
So, there ought to be some fellow nerds out there (or at least Canadians) who remember the CGI cartoon show "Reboot", right? Which made it through four seasons, progressively getting darker, more complex, better animated, and just cooler all around. I remember watching it as a kid on ABC when it was a Saturday

Rachael Dratch?

AD
This movie's quality and just-over-60-minute runtime make me think that Maeybe Funke was somehow involved in production.

Sounds like…
Scott McCloud's "Understanding Comics", but for fiction. Hmm.

Randy Travis
Glad to see he at least made it to "Unremarked Upon". Certainly my favorite country artist. For whatever reason, he has always struck me as being possibly the most "honest" country singer I've ever listened to. To me, he sounds as though he's singing, not performing, and the more country I've listened to

I haven't read it yet, but isn't part of the premise of Michael Azerrad's "Our Band Could Be Your Life" basically about what all the bands covered (including this week's darlings, R.E.M. and The Replacements) were like before they signed to big labels, and potentially sold out?

I just graduated college this spring, and pretty much discovered "College Rock" via the campus radio station (WPGU 107.1) and the Rhino Records box set Left of the Dial. In what you might consider a weird feedback loop or something, "College Rock" as a genre is what I closely associate with my favorite music from my

Lineup
Ted Leo + Pharmacists AND Neil Hamburger?

Ugh
Pretty sure I double posted, saying the same thing twice but slightly different. The comments keep disappearing/reappearing depending on when I refresh the page. Weird. Sorry 'bout that, the line was just too good!

Favorite exchange
Sgt. Hatred: "You were Rusty Venture once, maybe the most fearless boy adventurer ever."

Favorite exchange…
When Sgt. Hatred and Rusty are in the closet with Hank and Dean, figuring out what to do.

Tour Dates
So I've been to tonyclifton.net, and either the calendar/tour dates section is broke or sucks. Anyone been able to find when/where the other dates on this are?

Agree with all that the yuppie talk and "YOU'VE GOT TO GO" are supposed to be that way. That's why it works.

No Phil Collins?
Not that I'm a huge fan of his, but I don't see him mentioned anywhere, not even the "Regrettably" or "Also Listened To". With a presence like he had in the 80's, surely you haven't still managed to avoid him until now? Any thoughts?

I love that jacket.

Brock's Room
Probably the funniest part of the show, for me. As each character falls through the window (and the quotes aren't exactly right)…

Very, very nicely done. You've put into words what my mind was reeling to put together as I read the news brief and starting going through the comments. Well said.
