While that would be pretty insidious, I liked that Fiennes played the part well enough that you by the end, you were firmly sympathetic with him. While he starts as the kind of bureaucratic stiff like the one in Casino Royale, you always have the sense that he actually cares about his job and country.

I thought it was a great reveal on the title too, but just one note - I believe Skyfall is his family's estate, not the orphanage. At the chapel, you see the headstones for Bond's parents, not to mention his dad's shotgun in the gun room.

That's why I love that Robert Morse is on Mad Men. None of my friends seem to enjoy the fact that J. Pierrepont Finch did eventually end up as an ad man.
