This plot sounds remarkably close to the Nic Cage Gone in 60 Seconds which also featured Giovanni Ribisi. Perhaps he's carving himself out a niche in the reformed-best-in-the-word-criminal-returns-to-crime-to-save-his-brother genre

I think the last arcade racer I really enjoyed was the Rush series in the arcade. I'm just not enough of a gearhead to appreciate the sim racer world we live in now. Now it seems like there's a constant push for more licensed cars, or more destruction or both. Just give me a game with fun physics and responsive…
