Is the show literally about Cylons, or is the war between Humans and Cylons just a means to make larger and more poignant statements about war, politics, technology, religion, racism, patriotism and the philosophical definitions of life and liberty?  Do you think that, maybe, the themes of the show were driven more by

Not every novel or TV show is a thinly veiled autobiography is an accurate statement.  The rest, not so much.  Please, find me an author that has written something of any worth that in no way reflects their life experiences or historical perspective.  Pick any author you want, and report back here.  Should be pretty

Jim Lahey owns it.  He may not have used it first, but he used it best.

Well, that's boring.  That criticism can be levied at just about any show on television.  Are we really hating on Lena Dunham, then?  Because I don't remember Candace Bushnell getting this sort of criticism.

Fair enough.  Are minorities being misrepresented?  A wacky Dominican nanny or a lecherous Mexican janitor, perhaps?

So I've never seen this.  I've only been exposed to the controversy through Jezebel, who I cannot take seriously anymore because those bitches are seriously offended by anything.  Is this actually a show about white girls, or is there a legitimate sense that other races are being excluded out of discrimination?
