Like a lot of people, judging by the ratings slide, I found that The Blue Rose just didn't quite work for me (I missed the first episodes, caught one in the middle and wasn't compelled, and then watched one towards the end because I kinda felt sorry for the show being relegated, in part thanks to My Kitchen Rules).…

it's never gotten great reviews, but when I studied film we used the 1981 remake of "Postman" (with Jessica Lange and Nicholson)- maybe try that if you're stuck and you need that for the text. For Cain adaptations though, you can't go past "Mildred Pierce"
