it's because she knows from this point on she's just going to get prettier and snarkier while everyone around her decays

I guess once you stay up all night writing copy in your underwear together you just form a bond?
yeah that was
I was really expecting that to be some weird dream or fantasy deal going on - what the heck (although I admit other than that extremely weird and off putting moment I liked Betty this episode more than I've liked her since season 1)
I genuinely loved that line, especially because you know in about 12 years those ass holes are going to turn around and vote for Reagan
I loved that she gave them her sandwich after chewing them out
…. yes?
my knowledge of sports in general is extremely limited, but the Superbowl is early in the year, and wikipedia tells me that Alabama vs Texas A&M was the Cotton Bowl on January 1 - so the episode starts on the very tail end of '67 and we'll be continuing into '68
I don't think there's anyway this season couldn't have been 68 - it's too important a year and Kierna Shipka's age has to be kept into consideration - Sally should be turning 14 this year, which they can pull off, but if they skipped to 69 she'd be 15 and with Shipka being 13 that would be too much a stretch
the entire episode has been bad sports coats and bad facial hair, but I think Abe's brief appearance wins - he's got a Sonny Bono mustache going on and it's both painful and hilarious
Wow, thank you! I'm going to try to listen for this more next time I watch - I noticed that Felix definitely did not sound like he was raised with Sarah, there accents were so not alike. It's probably easier to ignore for me since I'm only familiar with British accents through television and movies and what few…
Tatiana Maslany is pretty amazing, horrible German accent in the first episode aside (apparently her British accent is awful, too, I'd like to have some specifics about what they're doing that's flubbing it, if it's something beyond just messing up the bath/trap split because that is seriously almost impossible for a…
Speaking of opening and closing doors, I watched a clip from the end of The Suitcase, where after they have a mentor/protege silent hand holding moment, Peggy asks Don if he wants the door open or closed as she leaves and he says open
Speaking of doors…
I was rewatching the season finale and noticed that Beth said something when she was with Pete before she went in for electroshop… let me find the quote
"I get to this place and I suddenly feel this door open and I want to walk through it"
And the first episode of the new season is called The Doorway.…
Over-under that he's talking about his hair
I like to imagine that he has a team of assassins who will jump out of the shadows if someone so much as starts to type or say anything not sufficiently vague

This looks like an over-produced mess and it looks perfect. Because that’s what Gatsby was, overproduced, and a mess. It’s not about capturing the book perfectly, it’s about capturing the spirit of the book and translating it to a different medium. Gatsby was bigger than life in the novel, and he and the book are…
I'm an "artsy" hipster, but I've still been pretty insufferable. It's worth it though because I've managed to convince one of my friends to start watching! He's more of a pseudo-socialist hipster.
Gonna be honest, Mad Men makes me jump up and down with excitement more than any show on tv - just get me to host, I'll make Chris Hardwick look like Don Draper
Gab Men
