I'm going to be frank: I love Murakami, but I didn't think 1Q84 deserved the prize. Needlessly long, I think. I don't know. I couldn't bring myself to finish it, and I feel guilty about it. I just found it dull after about 600-700 pages and quit, which I NEVER do with books.
