Makes you wonder how much of the general Federation population found out about this. Is it part of their history books now?
Makes you wonder how much of the general Federation population found out about this. Is it part of their history books now?
This is it folks
It's amazing, it's fantastic, it's a once in a life time spectacle. Frame of Mind: The only thing Branan Braga ever wrote in his whole life that was good. Enjoy!
I think the logic of Star Trek has always been that the energy that it's sending is you in some fundamental way, which makes zero sense. Hence a transporter accident would lose you forever. Also why people seem to have conversations in mid beam. Why Barclay could grab worms in the beam. Stupid stuff like that. That…
If Picard had been doing Kirk he would have tried to seduce Kelsey and she would have tried to convince him to run the trilithium operation with her. Because in TOS there are no women so powerful that they wouldn't give up half of what they have for a damn sexy man.
You would think there would be some elements ou can't beam
I mean, think about it: If Trilithium is beamable then isn't it replicatable as well? Beaming is just scanning an item, taking it apart, and then remaking it. Why wouldn't you be able to just get the pattern and make some?
It's funny, though, that the Troi Cat suits were a throw back to the first two seasons. Ron Moore was just dying to de-sexify her and put her in the uniform for the last two seasons.
I like it. It makes up for the relationship being so short due to the artificial reboot needed at the end. It also removes most of the squicky "romance" stuff like her talking to him like a little boy during the music lessons.
They can do anything they want to Generations. It already didn't happen as far as I'm concerned.
Jim: He can't write a series that stays on the air longer than a season either.
Let's talk about sex, shall we?
Or, really, sex on TNG. You have to wonder why the later TNG writers took Luaxanna's Victorian garb and applied it to the entire Federation as a fashion standard for women. 9 times out of 10 if we see a woman on TNG (and later - just look at Janeway) she looks like a frump from turn of…
""I had just seen Malcolm X, and I said Worf is the guy who's saying 'You're black and you should be proud to be black.' That's where I started from with the character standpoint" - Michael Pillar
I don't know how else she could have played it…
But shouldn't Troi have noticed the raging anger behind her before Worf screamed at Riker? She looked extremely surprised at the outburst.
This is going to sound like even more bullshit, but oddly enough just this week I had a dream when I could look at those 3d image puzzles and instantly see them. Is that weird or what?
Well, that dream was constructed, was it not? We're not all Guillermo Del Toro. Soong probably just made a dream for Data based on what he though dreams stereotypically were about.
Well integrated?
I take a little bit of an issue with the idea that the colony was an Eden where everyone threw away their hatred. The Romulans very obviously have the power here. They wear their uniforms, they carry weapons. The Klingons aren' slaves, but they are a lower class. And Tokath having a half Klingon child…
OMFG, I was about to write this. Why oh why did you deprive me of the flood of hate responses against me for disliking a popular episode.
It souwnds wike I huwt somebody's feewings! I'm weawy sowwies.
No, the mommy vibe doesn't mean she's a mommy of someone and is never allowed to love. I love my wife who is a mommy. But she doesn't treat me like she is my mommy. That would be a creepy mommy vibe.
I'm going to side with the William Ware Theiss designs. The TWOK uniforms are way to militaristic for a semi-militaristic scientific and diplomatic corp. I like the simplicity of the TOS and TNG outfits.
Fat Lee, I have issues with that list. We've got a maybe for Vash, but he had to go into it kicking and screaming and there was no post coital "pulling on his boots" scene. He never touched Famke. The Inner Light wife I'll give you, but he wasn't himself. Beverley only in an alt-timeline in AGT where they were married…
