I thought this was generally well done, considering the material the editor was working with. They made the best possible use out of the locale overlap and the Spidey/Widow exchange didn't feel too forced. Not totally seamless but it might fool someone who hasn't seen either and didn't know it was a mash up.

Porn is underrepresented in these graphs. Can't make a judgement without all the deets.

Panama-ha-ho-ho-he-ha!!!

Alien^3 is also an apocalyptic cult movie.

Very possible, I won't deny, but the strength of the plot will have more to do with the screenwriters than the director… and Lawrence Kasdan is involved. There is hope.

I can't bring this movie up around my girlfriend without her yelling, "Viggo-dong!"

There's some cool stuff in there, but my take doesn't have room for Qui-Gon. I think Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Yoda would form a good axis for the story to center around, with Anakin seeking acceptance from Yoda and the Jedi, their demands of him ultimately proving too heavy a burden leading to his fall, and Obi-wan the

I'm actually not huge hater of Jackson's excess. I'm very aware of it and recognize the ways in which it's problematic, but not so bothered - I think I have a lot of goodwill left over from LOTR. I enjoy the extended cuts and am always interested to see more. I made my cut more for the fun of the challenge than for

I've thought about this. You can turn it into a coherent story, and get great actors to give great performances, and design real sets… but I'm not sure it has the scope to go beyond mediocre.

This is more or less true - if you didn't like the look of the film or the acting, that won't be improved by editing. But don't underestimate the medicinal effect of cutting fat. I gave it a shot and found the increased focus on the main characters (specifically Bilbo and Thorin) to be a pretty significant and

I did one up over the holidays for shits and giggles. I've got the first two cut down to about 2:40 and am waiting for the third's dvd release - which I'm only interested in about an hour of, if that.

I just made a comment like this higher up. Sorry I didn't read further and stole. But it would make a lot of sense if the Star Wars films, going forward, turned out really good and kept a high standard of quality. The more they made, the more the prequels would stick out like a sore thumb. All high hopes though; the

You got me thinking; if this new Star Wars trilogy turns out pretty good, and there's at least a chance it might, the prequels should get remade.

I'd like to see The Warriors remade. I thought it had such a promising premise - it could have been a great dark comedy, or maybe a political or social satire, or even a martial arts film… it was none of those or much of anything.
