That book sucked. Ii sounded like it was going to be a cute little kid trying to solve a mystery but it turned out to be an incredibly depressing book. And it was not a page-turning thriller. You find out what happened to the dog in like the second chapter.

She's like Mrs. Huxtable. She has a job but you sure won't see her working.

Amazon already paid the publishers for the book. AV Club doesn't care how much the retailer sells the book for so long as they keep on buying them. That's the usual way, right?

Completely agreed. It may be Hollywood cliche 99% of the time, but I know a cute, but plain girl who towards the end of senor girl got a different haircut and lost her glasses and suddenly was incredibly hot.

@robinm I thought some of the meta stuff worked. But I think they did it too much where it became way too obvious.
