He seems to really love doing Last Chance Kitchen, though. I think he has more control over the challenge, though, which might account for some of it.

100% agree - that episode was all about bad production decisions that ended up reflecting poorly on Nick (which was probably the drama the producers wanted). But giving out immunity so late in the competition was just a bad idea all around, especially when a team challenge is coming up. And the elimination challenge

Me, too. If Tom was served the duck Emeril got, Nick wouldn't have won. It should've counted against him more.

He used canned crab meat?? Didn't he consistently tell everyone that he was "the seafood guy"? He's even worse than I remember.

That costume should've won the special achievements in illusion netting award.

Women's biathlon was on late-night yesterday. The late-night coverage isn't as badly chopped up - they generally show the whole event. I don't know why biathlon gets the shaft, though. It was genuinely exciting to watch, even though the sport itself is strange at the outset.

Thanks for the info - that's interesting to know. I am not a fan of Nick, but it does sound like editing may have played into the portrayal of this situation.

I found it unnecessary to call out both Gail and Tom's physical appearance. I don't downvote often, but I always do for remarks like that.

I don't think she lost because she's a person of color. But I do think it's crazy that in a very diversely-cast season, the winner is a white guy who cooks traditional French (and who was up for elimination more than any other Top Chef winner).

Thanks for posting that - it's interesting to see how they decided. Even though it pisses me off.

Yes! It makes no sense, the way they do it. Especially because the chefs are locked in with their ingredients once they're done at Whole Foods - they need to know what is available in the kitchen before they shop!

I believe Nicholas has been in the bottom more than any other Top Chef, except maybe Kevin Spragga (?), who everyone forgets even exists.

Of course the white guy who cooks French food won. Of course.

I liked My Boys, too! I've started watching Hart of Dixie to fill its cute, lightly funny place.

Thank you! :)

Here is what I have to say about "Men at Work": it always seems to be on in the emergency room waiting room. I have had a bad year health-wise and have spent a fair amount of time in the ER and have encountered this show there at least three times. Fox News is also popular in hospital waiting rooms. "Men at Work" is

Me too! This is sad news.

Worked there three years in high school and it was changed weekly where I was. The franchise owners were pretty insistent it be done that way, but I don't think it's that way for every McDonald's everywhere.

I'm so sorry that happened to you. That's awful.
