The best film I've seen about physicality in all of its forms. This felt the most tactile of nearly any film I've experienced.

I remember shortly after I saw the film (in 1994) of having an incredibly racist and inappropriate idea for a shot-for-shot cartoon recreation of the Bonnie Situation with:

I want Amour to win, wish The Master would have been nominated, but would be happy if ZDT won.

Peppermint Patty: "Take a hint, Chuck."

DORK.

:(

Also not to be a cad but I would have watched this if I knew the woman on the right was in it.

Strathairn might be relieved, in an interview with Charlie Rose about The Heiress, they discussed acting mediums, and he seemed somewhat annoyed/flabbergasted by the TV process. Granted, it was a brief moment. Anyway, he's awesome so I'm sure he'll have no shortage of good roles.

Well as for ZDT I think the raid on the compound is supposed to be jarring, narrative-wise, from what came before it. I never thought the movie was dull, I was actually pretty engaged with it all the way through.

To finish up my NYC trip I posted about last week…

Ahh, thank you, I hadn't realized that.

Uhhh, did you step out a couple times?

You have a serious problem. Get over yourself.

I really wish Once Upon a Time in Anatolia had gotten something.

Jessica Chastain because it's a great performance in and of itself, but also because it's a strong role for a woman, and this will present her with new opportunities and hopefully other strong roles will be created for her and women in general. I'm excited for her and her career.

The current Broadway play with Jessica Chastain, David Straitharn, Dan Stevens, and Judith Ivey helped change my life. This review could have nearly been for it as well. I'll have to watch this and compare.

Yeah, with working and/or going to school, and basically not having the time or money to actually get away, the most I had done since 1998 was like a few snowboarding weekends, or martial arts tournaments, which don't really count. Even when I went to Victoria, British Columbia for my best friend's wedding in 2007,

I leave Wednesday afternoon, but my Tuesday is pretty booked. I would have liked to have met you!

I'm glad to hear you liked that play.
