I can't believe you didn't post a spoiler warning! Now we know Artoo Detoo is in the movie!

I'm impressed - I expected the Dad to be teased out another season or so.  I kind of expected Remar to be a fake-out;  we already saw Ryan imagine Robin Williams as a psychiatrist, because that's the mental association he makes, thanks to Good Will Hunting.  When Ryan saw his Dad in the store, it was after he had

Aren't these supposed to be about whether or not the song is actually any good?  This whole "now I have to tell my kids about something naughty" is usually reserved for homophobes.

Matt, you must have loved when Linda Cardellini played Marcy "Hot Dog Water" Fleach on the recent Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated.  The lesbian subtext between HDW and Velma was palpable.

I've had this EXACT same conversation over the years.  I had only seen a few first-season episodes and I not only hated it, I was actively angry that they seemed to be doing so much wonderful design and illustration work, all for something that didn't seem to be aiming any higher than, "ha-ha, Jonny Quest is stupid."

Can we talk about the ending?  ROILER RALERT!

That ska episode may have been the greatest episode of any animated series ever made.

More importantly, it might lead to kids calling bullshit on "supernatural" shenanigans, and therefore fewer "ghost hunter" and "bigfoot fucker" shows.

The twist is that Rogers is an undiagnosed paranoid schizophrenic, and his hearing the dog "talk" is a symptom.  At the end of the first season he's finally diagnosed and given medication, but in an emmy-winning storyline, he must secretly go off his meds to reconnect with Scooby to gain insight into an investigaion.

I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

And let's take a moment to give props to Frank Welker for his portrayal of Fred.  Dude's been playing that character for over 40 years, but this is the first time he's been allowed to show some depth, and he nailed it.  Frank Welker is God.

AND she played Velma in the first two live-action SD movies!  So many layers…

And we all agree there's a strong lesbian subtext between Hot Dog Water and Velma, right?  Lesbian subtext?  Lesbian subtext? Lesbian subtext?

Somewhere, Reddit is crying.

I think Archer might have been a bad choice to start this discussion, since it's built so much around the established personas of the actors.

>Doug Walker just shits on easy targets

Red Letter Media is designed to pander to a specific, depressingly common breed of nerd who think that "shitting on everything" equals "credibility."  Nobody's opinion was swayed by their Star Wars rants, but that was never their intent.  Their intent was just to validate people who *already* hated the prequels and

On the subject of sci-fi homages, did anyone else get a Dirk Gently vibe with the steps Walter went through to cross into the pocket universe?  I half-expected him to be following the yuppies into Valhalla.

Red Letter Media is the Glenn Beck of Lucas-bashing.
