The one music cue that I connected to strongest was AC Newman's "Prophets" at the end of How I Met Your Mother season 4 finale "The Leap". Part of it was the timing in my own life, but watching the characters make actual/metaphorical leaps to that song really resonated with me.
Canabalt became frustrating to play for some of the same reasons people have mentioned until I realized that the boxes along the way aren't really obstacles.
