Well for anyone wondering how this show got to 4 seasons, it's a myriad of reasons… such as after 3 seasons it needed a fourth to get to ~70 episodes which seems to be the threshold for (lucrative?) syndication/streaming deals for the CW. She is quite good in Sils Maria actually, so totally deserved. I mean lesser actors and actresses have received Academy Awards… And I believe her character in Twilight was anyways written as a sullen non-emotional teenager, but she had good roles pre and especially post Twilight. So no reason for the article to state…
