the only way i see it working is a game of thrones type HBO thing where HBO is really committed to a quality production. even then it would still need thousands of elements to fall into place to click in the slightest like the book does.

this episode was strange for me. there were some indeed painful parts (claire and gloria's story was awful, and so was a lot of haley and alex's), but much more than i can recall in the past year at least there were a lot of laugh out loud moments. i would give this a B, but bump it up to a B+ because of that…
