I think it'd be a great film for family viewings. Transvestitism aside (and it's DeNiro so almost forgiveable), there's a comical approach to the violence as well, it's silly and almost funny but nothing serious at all. Certainly no more violent than Star Wars or scarier than Coraline I'd say.

I liked it, as long as we're playing opposites day. But that's around February.

Watched some classics I hadn't seen before.

After thinking about it I realised something else! Mike is acting like a right father this episode, the perfect surrogate, he cooks for Dana, lets her sleep, offers her stability and even takes her to where she needs to go (albeit crushing her spirit entirely). But there you have it. The perfect model of what Brody

Dana's quest for "the right thing to do" continues. I know people aren't enjoying it and it does suck momentum from the main storyline but they're missing the point I think. This whole entire show is about people seeking to do "the right thing". Carrie needs to stop Abu Nazir and it drives her to save her country from

Kelsey Grammar needs to sing more. A lot more. He's got such a beautiful voice. Also the rake thing was funny.

You said Michael Sheen is having the time of his life. DONT SAY THINGS THAT MAKES ME WANT TO SEE THIS FILM DAMNIT. I love him… And I would watch just about anything with him in but not this… god… please not this…

This film lived on motifs. The big one being the train, I liked the train… Indeed it was beautiful, gorgeous a little jaw dropping with the choreography involved. But I was left empty and also ranting about feminist ideals as I left. A woman suffers through the infidelity but two men prosper? I know its of a different

Is it just me or does it seem like Brody is going to tell Dana soon. I'm not saying everything, not everything, definitely not everything, but if we look at the way he communicates with her and the rest of his family (including the non-existent son) we can see he actually doesn't just talk at her but wants to

This is true, and they've brought in the same writer for the next few films so I think they're going for an arc that'll cover the ideas more thoroughly. A bit like how Casino and Quantum covered Bond's fall out from Vesper and the concept of love in his life.

The consequence of creation is definitely a big theme, and the making of a monster and nature vs nurture questions. They definitely drew some Frankenstein-y themes in there for sure.
