Yeah,  I once felt pretty sure that at some point one of the fifty black church members that saw Van Alden drowning his partner would tell Chalky, who would then tell Nucky.  However, nothing seems to have come of that either.

I am grateful that the show has completely dropped the pit-filling plot, but it has definitely forced the writers to try and shoehorn Rashida Jones wherever they can.
