It was cut in the editing process. She makes great peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. "Van Hell-sang"

I would agree that Stankonia is all over the place. And in terms of importance, albums 1-4 all belong in the 101 distinction, but that's not the way PRIMER is structured. The whole piece would have ended up being 101. Anyway, I'll take that criticism for making albums 2 and 3 seem lesser than they are.

I struggled a lot with the Essentials list. In terms of personal favorites, my top two spots belong to Aquemini and ATLiens (take your pick for which is #1), but the PRIMER feature isn't necessarily about personal favorites.

"B.O.B" was alluding to the 1998 bombings of Iraq during the Clinton Administration, a campaign that critics argued was just for show and had no real impact on Iraq's proliferation of weapons. Thematically, it links: Don't drop any bombs unless you're ready to go to war.

This part of the piece has been adjusted for accuracy. Thanks for the heads-up.

Headline has been adjusted to reflect this. Thanks.

A couple of links have been added for anyone who doesn't recall.

People would show up for book burnings if that were to happen. Duncan Kane was the worst.

How to answer this without spoiling or bumming you guys out? The film ends with Logan's departure. The book takes place directly after the end of the film.

This has been corrected. Thanks for the heads-up!

"What Are You Reading" was bumped a week to allow for all this week's great book coverage. Should be up on the 12th, though. Looking forward to hearing about this Aickman fellow.

Oh, you're right. That version has some really lovely harmonizing. I wanted to look at a bunch of later films that use this song, but ran out of space for this short feature. But, yeah, good call! (http://www.youtube.com/watc…

That's a fair point. The Story of Vernon and Irene Castle is not great. Reportedly, Irene Castle herself didn't care for it, and Astaire and Rogers didn't team up again for a decade after that one. But still, it's possible. It's done. (Great song, though.)

I agree. Her cover of "Let Me Roll It" on Late Night was pretty stellar. Also a difficult song to undertake.

Yup. Part of that sentence got cut in editing. It's been fixed now. Thanks for the heads-up!

This has been fixed. Thanks for the heads-up.
