I think seeing Katherine as the one to get cured might be my best case scenario for that whole plot line.  As it stands, she's the only vampire on the show who actively chose to become one and who's never seemed to regret it.  It'd be interesting to see how she would react to being human again.

Totally agree about the editing for "Mine."  As I was watching, I kept thinking "wow, that was an awkward cut."  I don't know that it was something inherent in the song so much as some strange decisions about what to edit out for time, but, either way, it just felt really choppy.
