I saw Gone Girl. It was only so-so. Just like the book. Also, promises of Affleck peen were greatly exaggerated.

    Bring back Rubicon.

Surely wouldn't work for any straight man…

Ah yes, how could I forget the severed ear? That was likely their intention.

Loved the opera sequence in the beginning. Traveling from inside the singer's throat to Hannibal's ear…maybe not a delicate way to get a point across, but effective and slickly done (especially for a television show). Spiraling in toward the blackness of his inner ear somewhat reminded me of spiraling out from the

Surprised by the grade. This was my favorite episode so far. J. Smith-Cameron and Adelaide Clemens were both so good in this episode. Like @avclub-fe858281188f10005605ea7b1dd0bf7f:disqus  , I loved how Daniel and Janet just sat still in the car and waited for the press to go away. Another show would have turned that

So many questions, so many missed opportunities.

Officially done with this show. The killing of the dog. The neatness with which the Deputy Sexypants sex slave story ended (Is the sex slave just wandering around the woods with a gunshot wound or did I just block out that this was somehow resolved?) and the mysterious man in room 9 story began. Vera Farmiga's

Moar shots of Hugh Dancy in his underwear plz.

Love the inclusion of Smiley Face here. A flawed film, to be sure, but it definitely gets certain things so right. The stoner paranoia/fear is so well conveyed — I particularly love the moment when she gets in her car in an attempt to drive to her audition but gets too freaked out to even pull out of her parking space

It would be far more interesting to see Norman's young childhood. Or maybe young childhood and then a jump to the period of time leading up to his father's death.

"the show too often portrays some of the denizens of the asylum as garden-variety “freaks.” (I found the introduction of the first asylum resident in last week’s episode particularly distasteful.)"

Ha! Likewise, I read them for the first time as an adult and absolutely loved them. I had no idea he was writing new Snicket books. How exciting.

I was hoping and praying for some Adam Levine ass, but now that he's down an arm I have a feeling our chances of seeing dat ass are pretty low. This is a tragedy.

    Yes, like that.

Lola is insufferable. She makes me feel so stabby.

"Honestly, I just didn't understand all the white space.  In street art, don't you want it visible from far away?"
