Spider-Man is pretty unique in that his big motivation is guilt, not revenge or altruism. In that respect I don't think any other major comic characters are like him. But Gustin's definitely channeling some personality aspects of Peter Parker. Just not the origin part.

Yeah, I see a huuuge Raimi Spider-Man influence in Gustin's performance. Which is great, because I love those movies.
