I imagine most of the larger budget will go to special effects, since the dragons need to be shown more on screen as the series goes along. It would also be nice to have more extras around, as Dany needs to have more followers than the 20 people they hired this year to tromp around in the desert with her.

I should clarify that my assessment of how fans perceive Megan's "worthiness" to change Don is based on how we were initially introduced to her. I do agree that she's proven more interesting than I would have guessed (tossin is right that she's called Don on his shit several times this year). I'm just guessing that

I agree with the others - while S1 suffers from uneven acting and writing, there are several key episodes that you really need to watch to get the full impact of the later (better) seasons.

"There's also some weird contingent that thinks Don not cheating on his wife is evidence of some quality dip."

Can we all agree that Rhaego was the cutest baby ever? Seriously - and they managed to cast a baby that looked like he could be the genetic child of Jason Momoa and Emilia Clarke.

I loved the "Holy shit, did that just happen?" look on Jamie's face when Brienne killed the northmen. I do wish we had a follow on scene just to put a point on that a little more - this is the beginning of Jamie begrudingly realizing that Brienne is the real deal, not just some huge woman playing at being a warrior.

I'm very excited that the Jamie and Brienne Roadshow is underway. Easily one of my favorite parts of the whole arc so far.

I think they'll try to keep it a secret. And honestly, since Barristan was barely shown on the show, I think it will work for most fans. Heck, when Jamie was rhapsodizing over how awesome Barristan was in this week's episode my boyfriend turned to me and asked who the heck Barristan was. I had to remind him about the

Allie Grant is the comedic MVP of this show.

Agreed. I just don't like that we wasted a scene with Joffrey torturing the prostitutes last week (WE GET IT, he's a little sadist) instead of fleshing out the Renly/Brienne stuff. I would have much preferred a scene addressing the "Brienne the Beautiful" business. It would have made Brienne's reaction to Renly's

In the book, Brienne's love for Renly is more fleshed out prior to his death. It's obviously one sided, but Renly did show her compassion where most of the other knights running around pretty much emotionally abused her non-stop. Renly's kindness towards Brienne (again, in the book - I'm disappointed the show didn't

On the plus side, the kid who played Draco Malfoy is now happy that he's no longer the most hated evil blond kid in the world.

My boyfriend instantly dubbed Shadow Baby  "The Pussy Monster".

I definitely recommend the special features if you haven't read the book (or are feeling a bit rusty on who's who). Even if you skip the "making of" sections, the pop ups that remind you which character you're watching on the screen and which location you're in is very helpful. Martin also has interesting things to

I never got the impression that Arya is ugly. It's just that she refuses to dress "lady like" and wear makeup. Therefore she might not come across as conventionally pretty.
