I suppose at this point Barack Obama has also lived in Washington DC for a bit

Julia reappears late in the first book, yeah. But the second book tells her story up to that point and now we get to see it play out in parallel on the screen. Not to say that there haven't been significant changes to her storyline (not too surprising, seeing how much they change all the storylines)

Monroe didn't exactly impersonate his uncle in that phone call, he just said "Felix can't come to the phone at the moment". Silas Weir Mitchell was really terrific in that moment, I really felt for Monroe.

One of the characters is played by Fitz from the LBD! That guy deserves all the acting jobs.

A all the way

I never remember character names, but I assume Sebastian is "French Guy living in Vienna, who does whatever Renard tells him to"? I think we've seen his associate before, riding the train after the royal assassination. Now he was the one coming out of the doctor's practice.
Why they side with him? I always assumed he

Grimm certainly has someone who speaks excellent German on retainer. Even when the actors can't deliver the lines well (like the doctor, she was truly dreadful), the sentences make sense and are grammatically correct. Also, the actor who plays the guy trailing Adalind killed his scene. No idea if he is a native

Simply an A episode.

A-
Not wild about Jenna's downward spiral, but they're making the best of it.

Not sure that the languistic representation of numbers really factors into mathematical skill. For example, in German, some numbers are built 'the wrong way': Twenty-three is being expressed as "Three and twenty". Gets confusing as hell when 123,456 is pronounced as something like "one hundred three and twenty

What about giving your source?
I asssume the AVC staff gets the numbers from there, so it is only fair to give TVBTN the credit. Also, their analyses about what the specific ratings actually mean are pretty spot-on. Just disregard the trolling commenters…

I thought here at the AVC we don't talk about the previews for the next week? I mean, I don't really care about PLL, but I imagine there are people who don't want to be spoilered….

Well, the show is definetely settling into a groove, with its usual reveal at the end and Mike translating every spanish word said in his proximity.
The show's not great, but it's summer, it's really hot here, and I don't have the energy to care that much about TV. I'll keep watching anyway, partly because of the

I get that and I also get that hitfix (who send three people - at least) are able to cover more.
What I don't get is that Sepinwall, Feinberg and Starr seem to be able to cover pretty much every panel. When I read that press doesn't get any special treatment and that people get in line at 9pm the evening before the

Well, it is a USA show so heavy serialization was not to be expected.
I wouldn't necessarily call them filler episodes, I see it as a fun hangout show. It's not terribly engaging, but for a summer series it's fine.

The musical episode in December counts as part of season seven, so that does not influence the episode count for next year.
But season eight is still quite unclear: eight episodes have been ordered, with five additional scripts. However, Maggie Lawson will be only available for up to five episodes, so there might be

In the last scene when the camera shows us the mess on the bed, you can clearly see a screwdriver and a nail file. So I'm pretty sure the box had a lock that Maddie had to jimmy open…

For the non-german speaking among us, Grimm calls it secrecy statue "Gesetzbuch-Ehrenkodex", which as usual does not make a lot of linguistic sense, but they got the words for "book of law" and "code of honour" smushed together, so I guess the point comes across.

I'd translate it as
