Absolutely! Blue Velvet in itself is a strange, dreamlike journey into a highly sexualised, noir Americana, however I really do believe that without the soundtrack (or even with a fairly standard soundtrack) the film would have gotten lost in translation. The music does a lot of the heavy lifting and manages to carry

There was a (sorta) remake for the PSP that was fantastic. But I agree, I really want to see a remake of that game for the current generation. The gameplay is still remarkably brilliant.

Usually I would agree, but I'll give the AV Club a pass because I really, really want to discuss Badalamenti's compositions.

Lynch and Badalamenti are just perfect together, each one brings the best out of the other. Badalamenti's soundtracks are the rare kind of soundtrack where you can listen to it and simultaneously experience nostalgia for the show/movies, as well as project your own feelings and thoughts onto the music.

Yeah, the Academy are the wooooo-oooooorssst.

That first trailer was brilliant. I kinda wish that was the only trailer released from the movie, as its still the main reason why I'm extremely excited for Dunkirk (besides the fact that Dunkirk is an interesting story and Nolan is generally good).

Seeing James Franco makes me cry too.

Or both. See both.

That must have been it. I don't know why I got so confused. It was a pretty brutal episode for The Doctor!

I am curious though, what exactly set off Capaldi's regeneration? I know he was tortured by The Masters early on in the episode, then was electrocuted by a Cyberman (and was glowing a little bit after that), then later shot in the chest a bunch and then caught up in the explosion of the floor-planet-place. I just

Ben's head would break if he were to find out there are even more incarnations of The Doctor.

A bit like what happened to the Second Doctor. At least Alisdair will know some sweet ass fighting moves in his next incarnation.

I can't wait for them both to look into the camera and wish us a Merry Christmas.

People always complain about wanting to return to the Davies era, so a really dumb deus ex-machina is a pretty good start.

Doctor Who has always been kinda out there. I don't know where people keep getting this hard sci-fi approach from.

Turning the Doctor into his granddaughter. Produced by Deviantart.

Doctor Who? Hard science? Hmmm…

I really, really, really wish Clara had a different exit because this one felt right for Bill. At least the Master Twins exit was brilliant.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned that Caves of Androzani reference yet. I would have laughed my ass off if K9 had popped up in the montage again.

You could always call us to ask if your successor is old?
