My go-to is timezones. It's noon here on the east coast, and the sun is directly overhead. In 3 hours the sun will no longer be overhead, but call someone in California and it will be for them.
Or, why do ships on the horizon disappear beneath it? If the Earth were flat you'd see them sit on the horizon but get

I've become pretty familiar with the login-out dance my original flavor account requires, but this seems different.

I have found that the AVC login option has disappeared in Safari, I can still see/use it in Chrome. I suspect this has more to do with caching than browser compatibility though.

So, I'm writing this here because this is the last tab I have open, where I'm logged into the AV Club. But the option to use an AV Club login seems to have disappeared.

I'm sorry the response we were looking for is:

This was a great interview.
I really enjoy it when artists can be articulate about their output and process.

Excuse me, but some of us would need a few more versions to be rolled back to get our avatars back.

The lack of decent search functionality, either in the comments or for the articles?
The fact that comment nesting after 2 threads are impossible to follow?
That to comment here we're required to share the content of each post with a giant network of advertisers?
That we'll never again receive a "Community notification

"Tacky"
Thank you for that description. I've always had trouble putting into words the "how and why" of the awfulness of infinite paging, but "tacky" is just about perfect.

I'll just say the show was Dinner for Five, and it might be my favorite thing that Favreau has done (and he's probably the worst part on most episodes).

I hate pretty much everything about that cover.

Has anyone said what they're doing about Aku's voice?

Huh, I would have guessed him for a Joy Division fan.

Probably the only way I'd ever watch another episode of Voyager or Enterprise is if they started the reviews back up.

I really enjoy game commentary. Valve's Portal 2 is my gold standard, but there's also a great one for Deus Ex: HR. The developers are far more critical of their own game than I'd expect and I it's really illuminating of the compromises of game design.

I'm willing to admit that I'm on the wrong side of history re:toppings, but I'm content to go down with that ship.

Cheese and sauce aren't on the pizza, they are the pizza.

I've softened with age, but generally I believe pizza shouldn't have anything on it.
