Bad Lieutenant was pretty damned funny. I can deal with a totally insane movie creating and presenting a totally insane version of New Orleans. It's the ones that claim to present something authentic and then give us Cajun Blackened VooDoo Mardi Gras Land.
Anybody remember that crap K-Ville show? Beyond insulting.

Hope it doesn't suck…
As a guy in New Orleans I guess I am gonna have to torrent this and watch it. Katrina took my free cable. (Actually it really did. It took that whole crappy house where my crappy apartment with the free cable was.)
They've been filming all over down here, but I've almost never ever seen a movie or

why do I keep watching it?
I wasn't sure a show could be worse than Fringe. But this show is clearly managing it.

good writing
Damn Zack! You are a damned good writer. Those first two paragraphs are really nice and kinda made me wish I was reading a whole book or short story about junior high. And I'm not being sarcastic.

sucked
Yes, this episode sucked.
…BUT, I admit to kinda loving the last dumb 5 minutes of Andy and Erin, in spite of myself.

Felix and Oscar
Yeah, I think they should just do old Odd Couple scripts with House and Wilson and skip going in to the hospital altogether at this point.
Or maybe stop even pretending to try with the PotW. Just have someone with a paper cut or a bad cold be the patient and then have Hugh Laurie play a musical

It holds up
I think most of the humor holds up. The constant threat of spousal abuse becomes disconcerting after a while though. Even though time and again on the Honeymooners it is clear that Alice and Trixie are the smarter ones and are sometimes sorta secretly in control, the fact that almost every episode contains

AlternaBen may not have gone through with the blackmail plan in this episode, but you know the principal's house is going to burst once all that popcorn heats up. Ben will have the last laugh; he's the real genius!
(brought to you by things that are too on-the-nose)

AAAA
I totally agree, this was an A- episode. The Gollum make-up scene and not enough Penny kinda subtracts, but overall this was a fav episode. Raj even speaks in front of Penny, but I guess he had yet to see her in the hallway

Kinda liked this one
So, uh, Chase and 13? Do you think the writers are heading there? God knows they have more chemistry than Foreman and 13 did, but I dunno.
Did anybody else get a sense that's where we're going? That would at least drive Foreman a little crazy, and that'd be fun.
Also I thought Laura Prepon looked

yeah, when the Marriage Ref comes on it's time to switch over to "Archer" on FX

I certainly love Archer, but I don't know if anything could ever be a better vehicle for him than Coach Mcgurk. Man I loved that character!
I am glad he is truly at the center of this show though, as opposed to Home Movies where I was always happiest when they were at the soccer field.

Thanks Leonard!
This has been my favorite gateway so far!
I have always had insanely eclectic taste in music, but never really worried too much about defining it, but after reading this, I realize I am kinda into exotica (which I never knew was an actual category until now!) I have a Combustible Edison CD and I have

Gilette is basically Xander Crews?! I dunno about that….. I mean, sure Xander clearly went a little gay there, but Gilette is flamboyantly gay.

Hmmm
the main thing I liked about this episode is that at least the show is aware that we can get by without a POtW. I agree, however, that this episode was not exactly good and that the very ending was horrible and ridiculous.
But I still appreciated a little change of pace, like "Wilson" before it. And if Lucas

Boring
Yeah…this was a seriously boring episode. I can't remember being quite this disinterested in a PotW ever. And, Lucas….still?
I also saw some reruns recently, and Sela Ward really really brought so much to this show. She played her character exactly right with House—she stayed smart, but they had this great

Giant Walt not exactly that tough to fix….
We're already 300+ comments in and there is not even a new episode yet, so I doubt anyone gets around to reading this one, and it might have already been said (I'm not reading all 300+ comments either…)
But why the hell, if some of this series was figured out way in advance,

Ha-Haaaaaa
New Orleans Saints just kicked Viking's ass(es)!! (And the French Quarter is going nuts….)
I blame this lame fight song

Hey Jason, no offense! I may have been a little drunk when I made my previous post….
I did read the full article and listen to the examples, and I knew they weren't on the Motown label, I just do have a hard time really distinguishing the precise subtlety that makes it "northern" soul. Not knocking any of it as music,

Really?
So…uh, "northern soul" is just Motown but by people who didn't become particularly popular or famous?
