New Orleans
So there's this part up there where he mentions Keely Smith (and how fat she is now—-true), but Nathan says something about "Louis Prima's" in New Orleans. I was born and still live in New Orleans. I am sitting in a coffeeshop in the French Quarter right now (on Decatur Street about 4 blocks from Jackson

Community and Better Off Ted are the best 2 shows on TV right now

The most naive post EVER!
I love Conan, I love Letterman. I think Leno is the worst piece of kiss-ass shit ever.
David Letterman originally had said he was retiring (or hinted at it) in 2010. David Letterman truly deserves to go out on top. Conan is great, but he really owes an enormous debt to Letterman, and if you've

Now if NBC would snap up Better Off Ted since ABC seems to be getting rid of it…. Community, Better Off Ted, The Office, Parks and Rec and 30 Rock. Two and a half hours of "Must See TV"

A little too harsh
I agree, not the best episode, but I still think it was a good episode! And the B- seems about right, the actual write-up seems a little too harsh.
I assumed the slight change in dynamic between Veronica and Linda was a result of last week's light bulb episode where Linda sorta gained a little in

Glad to see a few other folks who thought this episode was a little off. I totally love the show, but this may have been the weakest episode I've seen. It felt like it may have been filmed earlier before they show got into a got rhythm or something. It was just a little too "wacky" overall.
Other than all that Annie

I agree with the thing about Kripke not really being a good character. I think a more Newman-like nemesis would be much better. Like a Dwight Schrute or Frank Burns, or even when the guy that owned the comic book store was Leonard's rival for Penny. But Kripke sucks and I really wanted to see Sheldon delve into that

This may have been my least fav episode ever…
I really didn't like this episode so much. I think I like Sheldon so much that I really hate to see him gotten the best of. And his revenge, even if it would not have gone wrong, was really really lame.
I love this show, but this was a seriously disappointing episode. And I

Garth Brooks!?!?!?
Seriously? Garth Brooks?! Good God, why?

This was the first and only episode I have seen of this show, and based on it, yeah, this sucks. I can't see a B- grade for this, but maybe the other episodes were so wonderful that it has generated a lot of goodwill. Hard to believe on the basis of this very stupid and very crappy episode.

I agree with all the reasons above as to why Dan will/should not sleep with the teacher. However—SHE IS REALLY GORGEOUS, and therefore I hope Don does sleep with her so I can see, like maybe some sideboob or something.
Wow, I lead a sad life :(

Opposite of lifetime pass….
Aside from this being a great idea for an AV Club inventory, you know that lifetime pass we keep giving people around here? Like…I dunno, John Cleese could pretty much do anything at this point, Prince is trying to wear his out, but he still has one. Well, I think Leno is the total

I'm not sure someone using the name "Glen Campbell" has a lot of musical-taste credibility on this site anyway, but I like Sting. I have seen him live twice (Concrete Blonde opened the 1st time I saw him) and I've got the Police box set, but all of Sting's solo stuff too—even some bootlegs. Yeah, it's true. Brand New

Nothing Like The Sun
The first cd I ever owned was Sting's 2nd solo album—Nothing Like The Sun

The fact is, no one will ever be as good as David Letterman. Conan is damned good—far far better than I really ever expected another late night host to be, but head-to-head with Dave, it's Dave everytime.
Jay Leno, on the other hand, is a totally worthless hack who has deserved to fail ever since underhandedly stealing

Better Off Ted is a GREAT show! It is, in fact, so self-evident is it's greatness that to defend it really makes no sense. It'd be like defending being the recipient of oral sex versus being on fire while also being poked in the sides with cattle prods by Oprah Winfrey and Rosie O'Donnell—who are naked.

#1 - Don Draper walks out on a blackface routine, seemingly disgusted. (maybe because it was Roger, maybe the routine itself, maybe both)
#2 - Immediately after, he escapes to make a drink in a bar where he shares a story about being poor and on the outside, so much so that he is not considered good enough to use the

Everything about the story Don tells Connie over the Old-Fashions at the bar suggests that Don really WOULD have a bit of a problem with the blackface routine. To me anyway. The blackface thing was a bunch of upperclass (white) people making fun of lowerclass (black) people. Don and Connie's conversation seemed to me

I might just be projecting a little onto Don, since I love the guy, but I want to suggest that at least a little of his distaste for Roger's display was the fact that it was racially offensive. But aside from the racial part of it, and if you only look at the class part of it, the whole blackface bit was sort of a

Indy….no apology needed, I just can't even picture Glen Campbell dressed that way—though I am aware of the tv show you are talking about. Most of it is available on dvd now, and You tube has some great clips.
In fact, there's one that is fairly mind-blowing: Glen Campbell and Stevie Wonder doing a duet of Bob Dylan's
