I laughed out loud when Dexter said "I've got my son tonight". How many parents can say that, and make it sound like something that both only happens once in a blue moon, and is nothing more than an annoyance/hindrance to their much more exciting plans?

I'm totally being a dick, I know, and I'm a year late, but this correction bugged me, despite the fact that I assume it's meant at least half-jokey. It really is "fucking", rather than "fooking", isn't it? It's just that she has a delightfully chavvy accent. If we spell the words how they sound, then you'd be writing

Were the writers having a laugh with the mall scene? Dexter's voiceover: "I wonder if he recognises me"…"He's not indicating whether or not he recognises me"…"I don't think he recognises me".

I found much of this arduous to watch. Starting with the memorial service, the show might as well have flashed up the word "Exposition!" in big, black letters. Who actually talks like Masuka and Batista were?

Firefly news update…How could you get my hopes up like that, AV club!?

" I spent most of their first conversation thinking Tyreese had randomly decided to have a serious talk with a random member of the Governor’s armed guard". This! It took me the duration of their first conversation to realise that the other guy must have been part of his group.  I really don't remember their being a

I thought this was a great episode. Troy's gleeful smiles everytime he did something opposite, and Chang's sigh after throwing his phone into the bin both made me laugh. Whenever this show does a documentary episode it always seems to go very well.

It's been some time since I saw the pilot, so how was Duane's death forshadowed there?

I now feel obliged to be a further "this person". Cockney doesn't refer to the whole of London. There's a fairly specific definition of what constitutes a Cockney, despite most people thinking that any generic Londoner is one.

The first episode is definitely one of the weaker ones, but I love the second one.  The message that Mark leaves on Sophie's answering machine, and his and Jez's reactions are fantastic. Jeremy's little chuckle to himself in the bath, and his flinch during the interview are great as well.

Daphne isn't a Cockney, she's from Manchester. Also, "Frasier" is amazing :) .

I thought that, of all the season 4 episodes so far, this one felt the most like the old Community. I'm always amused by terrible "chang" and "dean" puns, and I thought the callbacks to various past episodes from the perspectives of minor characters was fun. Also, they were finally back at Greendale, after a couple of

As long as the reviewer doesn't spend all his time going on about the twins.

You can't really say that the seasons are self-contained when almost everything that happens stems from an action in the pilot, and from the big story of season 2.

Yeah, I second that. When I went through my boxset, a certain huge event towards the end of one of the later seasons (do you like the way that I dance around spoilers?) made it impossible not to finish it off in about 4 days.

Plumberduck, I'm ashamed to admit that that comment gave me the very tiniest of shivers…

Peep Show is easily in my top 5 sitcoms of all time list (which is admittedly pretty biased towards Britain), so hooray! It'll be interesting to see how suited it is to the level of scrutinisation and analysis that's common here.

And I was worried that no-one here would have seen it as much as I have!

The first thing I thought of when I saw that scene where Britta made the group of nerds scatter was an article that I read (possibly on this site) about how TBBT treats nerds with disrespect, while Community treats them like real people, with proper interests. Apparently, those days are now gone.

I was kind of glad that Pam explicitly told the cameras that Saul was like Michael Scott, as I was afraid that the big joke was going to be that he was similar to Andy (who's basically a less-funny version of Michael anyway), which would have been in keeping with the show's general lack of memory, regarding Steve
