I think that was definitely what they were going for, but I just don't think they pulled it off.

Yeah but then why the three or for direct shots at Fincher? This is an episode that would have been vastly improved with either tighter focus on the concept or more general parody. It's in an unhappy middle that just makes it uncomfortable. Mratfink explains it perfectly below.

Yeah, that was the only Fincher joke that actually landed for me.

It seemed to want to just parody Fincher in general which lead to some really wacky tonal shifts that kept throwing me out of the story.

Also the scene of Annie at the computer could have been out of either TSN or Dragon Tatto.

I am God is probably my favorite if the show.

Logically I know season 1 is better but I actually might love season 2 more? It's hard for me. The main arc in season one is better than in two, but I enjoy the individual episode more in 2….

I never finished the third season. They took it off netflix while I was watching it and my girlfriend only got me the first two season for my birthday last year…I suppose I should finish it now….
