I didn't say he wasn't deserving of criticism. He definitely is. I said the hate for him is massively overblown…which it is.

See I've never heard that negative connotation of ET. I generally thought it was accepted as a beloved movie. Hook I saw when I was 5 or 6 and barely remember and I never saw that twilight zone segment. So maybe that has something to do with it.

The motorcycle chase seen towards the beginning is honestly one of the best action set pieces in any of the Indy movies. I actually really liked it up until the third act, after which it completely collapses.

Yeah it would make more sense as an underlying theme if the park had failed do to some glitch in the system? Something unpredictable and unavoidable.

Unix….. I know unix.

The most common complaint his that his movies are overly sentimental which I understand to an extent, but on the other hand… The guy made Jaws, ET, Raiders, Jurassic Park, AI. and Close Encounters, all of which are firmly in my pantheon of great films. I can understand not liking some of his more recent stuff, but

I still enjoy that when tasked with bringing together a group of Dinosaur episodes Hammond chooses a Paleontologist, Paleobotanist and….a Chaostician? Seems legit.

ET is great though! I didn't think it was possible to hate that movie honestly. It's always been one of my favorites.

Touche. Also Raiders and ET…..hey, that Spielberg guy can make a pretty good movie. He's going places.

Second on the Lucas hate being overblown. Yeah, the prequels were disapointing, but its not like the guy purposefully set out to destroy your childhood. He made a bad movie, it happens.

Still one of my favorite movies. Has there ever been a better popcorn movie than Jurassic Park? I think not.

What do you call his dog?

Film Professors who want to appear "edgy" more often than not. Also hipsters, when it doubt it's usually them.

Which also tends to be a pattern with characters who are not meant to be on the show in the long-term. If I had to guess Sara stays gone until this seasons' closing arc. There's also the fact that not every interesting thing about a character lies in their past. It also lies in the present. Characters evolve based on

There is also development in how she meets them. Characters interacting with each other always has the potential to create development. She could learn from them form a bond with them, that is development.

I hope not, I've had enough of the Al Ghuls being whitewashed.

I loved him in season 1 but I think I definitely prefer the more nuanced performance he's giving this year more. It's a good reflection of where the characters at. His over the top pride and bravado have really been brought low and his mannerisms reflect it.

Yes! I knew I recognized him. It was almost if someone wiped him from my memory…

And what are you reasons for liking Breaking Bad better? I am sure they can just as easily be dismissed as personal preference as well, and I say this as someone who generally thinks BB is a better show. The fact of the matter is, when you get to a certain level of quality in any medium you reach a point where the

As I was reading the thread I realized I didn't actually know Special Agent Vanilla's name……
