Both Cuse and Lindelof are fantastic writers of one off episodes of telelvision (The Constant anyone?). I would love it if they were bullpen writers on any show I was watching, but I do get worried when they are head writers/show runners.

I'm the same actually. Mad Men has characters just as complex as Breaking Bad, explores many of the same themes and is just as (in my opinion) compelling without resorting to the graphic violence. It impresses the hell out of me.

Milch could never do the Sopranos or BB style protagonist. He'd get bored and create some loveable/detestable side character to focus an entire story arc on.

I generally avoid the film professors known for the pseudo-elitist practice of taking the piss out of Spielberg. It's something I will never understand. How can the guy who is responsible for Jaws, Raiders, and ET be a hack?
