Vicks, are you angry at this show because you need love? Is this a cry for attention? Because we love you, Vicks. You're the talk of the comment section…just scroll up and you'll see.
@avclub-a79f8d92d5ec0c5f1434fca5ee0af8bf:disqus I just get riled up with trolls. Or too much hype. I will either watch something religiously avoid something like it's got the plague, respectively (sorry, Girls, I'll watch you someday).
Reading her/his comments is both sadder and funnier than anything on the internet. Vicks is pretty much what Woody Allen would describe as the merging of commentary and dissent: dysentery.
@avclub-7656b560c7e180f8e0d84ca82ac0d8b7:disqus Cheerfully withdrawn!
What about Principal Valiant? I hear he swept the Princi Awards.
You can make up statistics to prove anything. Forfty percent of people know that!
I actually enjoy and understand the first portion of the argument he's making. But it's somewhat mired in 90's identity politics. Smart stuff notwithstanding, "I like my beer cold, my TV loud, and my homosexuals FA-LAMING"
Hey corn! Haven't had that in a while!
I look forward to your writing for TV. It'll really change the way we define bad television writing.
This is by no means my favorite show. I just started watching it. But I don't go to shows I feel very little warmth towards - say Big Bang Theory - and troll them. I have better wastes of my time (drinking, better TV, movies). Why would you waste yours being a fucking troll?
This is an odd question, but I'm new to The Wire - I did my homework and finished Deadwood and The Sopranos - but I was curious as to whether there was possibility of a Wire TV Club Classics for seasons 1-4. Maybe?
To watch the show.
Good old rock. Nothing beats that!
"…not a toothless grin or wrinkled forehead. For shame!"
Knowledge that comes in handy for no reason whatever. It's just flawlessly implemented, inspired knowledge.
Anna takes the cake for me, if only because she is high strung and has chutzpah. That being said, Sloane is a warm presence, and I think he balances the cynicism of someone like Geoffrey with a little lightheartedness.
Could be both. I find it hard to tell, the writers humanize and are repulsed by him in equal measure.
Some people just don't like musicals that much. It sounds a little rude to say, but it's similar to people writing off country/rap/jazz/etc as not compelling music. I guess you can count me as not quite a fan of musicals.
Someday, they'll try to find my history, and they'll stumble on this post. Poor theoretical children…
