Whenever someone brings up series finales my immediate first thought is always the last episode of Roseanne. There's still some small part of me that can't believe that's how things ended with that show. I don't think I've ever loved a finale as much as I hated that one.

You may! In fact, I encourage that sort of thing.

So earlier today my dad greets me with, "one of those Backstreet Boys you like so much is dead." Now, aside from an inexplicable attachment to that one video where they all dress up as monsters and sing about being sensual (?), this is not really true on any level; boy bands were never really my thing. But still, I

I always love the gender war seasons. This one is reminding me a lot of Vanuatu not only in the dynamics of the male tribe (the slobs vs. the himbos) but also in that the female tribe has so much potential in terms of drama and dynamics and by comparison the casting of the male tribe seems sadly inadequate. Matt and

And when I say, "a person," I mean yours truly and when I say, "sometimes" I mean I haven't missed an episode since the pilot. Um.

Sometimes a person just wants to watch a dumb soap opera in the evening. And I guess sometimes people probably also feel like listening to dumb radio friendly music, too.

I wish I had a sandwich right now.

Eliminating the obvious non-possibilities (Colleen, Greg, Stacey, Sonja, BB), I'd go with Kelly. Sean's charm as a contestant is his total idiocy and naivete, and I don't think that would hold up as well a decade and 20-something seasons later. Gervase might be more fun to bring back though.

Center Stage is magnificent. Grumpy's whole schpiel about his pain making him grumpy was equally awfulmazing.

I'd enjoy Shameless a lot more if they killed off William H. Macy, but it's still an okay show.

It was a bad episode for sure, but it still doesn't quite stack up with the worst of series 4 IMO. They gave it the old college try, though!

To be fair, the bio dads are mostly just neglectful and easily lead, the real parental evil tends to come from the stepmothers. Although the dad in Donkeyskin admittedly has some major, creeptastic issues.

I'm not Emma Caulfield's #1 fan, but I thought she was wasted in this episode, just as True Blood's Pam was wasted in her episode.

I'm no fan of Cochran's but they're in the business of making a tv show. He'd be there to entertain, not due to excellent gameplay. Just like when they brought back Rupert, Coach, Tyson etc.

I can see your point. I'm not one of the big time final 2 fanatics or anything, because I do think there are upsides and downsides to both and a final 2 doesn't necessarily automatically create the best result. Rob C is one of my all time favourites and I would have loved to see him in the FTC.

Well, he's still a wifebeater.

Jenna won, if I remember correctly. Or Matt. I don't think it was an upset - Jenna did okay in the challenges, and if it was Matt he was strong too - Rob was the weaker of the three in that sense. That was the main flaw of Rob's (great) game (and Cirie's as well) - that he made himself too much of a threat to take to

I thought Christine looked pretty hot, too, but Sophie was definitely looking fine.

True, but the way they edit in order to build the surprise factor in each episode often obfuscates a lot of the actual gameplay that happens in a season. That and the editing is never even-handed anyway; compare Coach's edit to that of the other two finalists and personally I felt I had a much clearer view of his play

That fake-out to Cochran was awesome. Sure, Ozzy can be an arrogant douche, but I really think Cochran is one of the major factors (along with the lack of a swap, RI, Jeff's Probst's existence and the sexist editing) for how much this season sucked. He was awful, and he really hurt this season with his terrible play,
