The Littlefinger monologue while the 2 prostitutes go at eachother is an example of how to do that badly, but the show has also done it really well, like in the scene where Viserys and Doreah are in the bath talking about his family's history with Dragons

I think this show may not be for you

I don't think she's allied with them yet, but Littlefinger seems to have convinced Tywin that he can make it happen.

Jaime was not involved in the rape, Tywin wouldn't want his "true" heir to sully himself with a common whore

Baramos, Tyrion did not know she was a whore until Twyin found out and told him that. While they were married he still thought she was a crofter's daughter.

Pod is a nephew I believe of Sir Illyn Payne. So he's basically a kid of a very minor Lannister bannerman. In the books I think Tyrion picks him up at the green fork though it may not have been until he leaves for king's landing.

Fought it how exactly, Tyrion was just a kid and absolutely terrified of his father.

It's not the first time they've done it. "Blackwater" featured The National's version of "The Rains of Castamere" over it's end credits.

He'll always be the manager in Almost Famous to me.

Davos is still in jail, and the Melisandre scene is likely setting up the idea of her going to grab Gendry, since Edric Storm does not exist in the show and they need a Baratheon bastard for thier spell.

well, it's a big part of Kevan's characterization in the 4th and 5th books that Lancel is his only surviving kid, and Lancel is… well Lancel is Lancel.

@avclub-de9240f5c623bf031dcf0fca9770db44:disqus Victarion is absolutely critical, his assault on Slaver's Bay is going to be what finally propels Dany to Westeros, why else do you think GRRM spends so much effort running her and Tyrion around Mereen in circles while stalling for Victarion to get there?

It happens before they get back to Crasters, because he and Mormont talk about the dragonglass stuff before he dies.

@avclub-e57dbebc740250d2c4a370cf6ccb35f0:disqus That.. is not how that played out.

@avclub-ef062084a1c4a3584af1d4f8e514ea50:disqus …what does Theon have to do with Stannis?

The north of the Wall stuff is the one bit where I'm confused/concerned with the adaptation.
