There is a narrative thread, basically a journey towards light, but it jumps from one character to another.

I got to see the whole thing at a test screening and you’re basically right.

    My only (spoilery) question:

HOWARD’s biggest problem is that it’s a “who is this for” movie. Too silly for grownups, too sexy and creepy for kids.

    Scrolling, scrolling, scrolling...

Paris initially perceived Rory as a threat and was extremely snobby to her. Later, as it became clear that Rory was the only person smart enough to keep up with her, she softened. A bit.

“Beginning with Sheridan Le Fanu’s lesbian vampiress Carmilla, continuing on through Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and skyrocketing in popularity with Interview With The Vampire and the subsequent film adaption, the queer-coded vampire is a staple of early LGBTQ+ characterization.”

Gods of Egypt is indeed a frickin blast.

Schrodinger’s cat-in-a-box paradox also started as a joke.

“Sleeping In Light” is a great episode no matter where you choose to place it in the Babylon 5 watchlist.

How does history regard the St. Elsewhere finale? It was a big deal in its day, and impactful enough to be spoofed on Newsradio and 30 Rock.

Babylon 5, which ran almost contemporaneously with DS9, was serialized from the start. It was the first time I heard anyone talk about a “season arc.”

I draw a solid line between the films made before and after Joe Ranft died. He was key to the Pixar legend of “story first,” and I’m not sure it survived him.

Also, a large number of these songs were licensed from other studios, notably Warner. If Disney put out an album with those tracks they’d have to pay for them again.

Yeah, there’s a big difference between “on point” and “on the nose,” and even then neither of them explains what the hell “Car Wash” was doing in there.

I never used MoviePass, but I had friends who went crazy with it even though I warned them from the beginning that the business model was unsustainable.

    Now playing

If you don’t already follow Legal Eagle on YT, you should. HIgh marks given for THE RAINMAKER’s courtroom realism here:

I feel like Cooper’s biggest break was LONE STAR.

My favorite thing about Scheider in SORCERER is the fake “unbroken” nose he wears in the prologue sequence.

Those are Mufasa’s claw marks, silly.
