Agreed. Cranston and Fishburne chew on the big showy parts and Carell quietly steals the film from both of them.

Scrolled through all these seven=month-old posts just to make sure Enos was mentioned. Well done.

Gilmore Girls” did a really obvious one where Jess went to Santa Monica to find his dad.

Tex Avery’s Red Hot Riding Hood was almost certainly based on Lansbury’s appearance in THE HARVEY GIRLS:

His main thing seems to be a willingness to commit to a bit no matter how bad it is until he wears the audience down. I think other comedians enjoy watching him bomb on purpose more than regular people do.

Opportunity missed. Headline should have read “...Jamil -grills- Amram about food puns...”

To me, the iconic clip is the bit of Morton roaring “HELLHOUNDS ON YOUR TRAIL!” with that ten-foot-tall grin.

Back in the day, Eddie Murphy’s stock answer was, “Bugs Bunny raping Elmer Fudd.” But that was back in the day.

All this talk about chonkers and nobody thought to check in with Bruno the Extra Cat? He’s doing great, by the way:

I see the scene starting with the cutoff and tailgating, and running through Hall’s decision to stay behind. The film does a good job making the action funny for the audience while still communicating how freaked out she is.

Good choice to keep the camera on Alex when Kara said “She wants a wife and kids.” Leigh played the reaction beautifully.

Okay, I should probably be watching this.

“Catch your breath and get off my property.” SUPPORT THE GIRLS.

I think I like the quiet final scene back in the truck better.

I keep telling everyone: There’s a scene in STBY that’s ten times funnier if you’ve seen BLINDSPOTTING first.

I’m not prone to fangasms, but...

Sorry, I mis-read your post about stopping around Ep3. Thought you were talking about Season 3. Season 4 hasn’t been subtle, and the characters haven’t been making the best choices, but I think it sort of fits the times by portraying lots of problems and having no good answers. I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts

No, it’s pretty hand-wavey there. I don’t think “Supergirl” has ever referenced Batman. I’m not sure they’ve mentioned Gotham City either.

Supergirl had a rough go of Season 3 due to some behind-the-scenes shakeups. A number of characters and plotlines got sidelined or re-written in the second half. This year has been fairly terrific, leaning hard into current political events.

A casual viewer could be forgiven for thinking there’s also a Superman show. We heard more about Kal’s Argo adventure here than at any point on “Supergirl”.
