That seems like quite the leap to make based on that quote

Funny, I actually saw a GT-R LM Nismo today! There’s one chilling at the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville TN.

no that package includes the glass-roof, hence the high cost, along with a lot of other stuff

I have a friend that tossed a rotary in one of these

Who needs an A pillar anyways?

Mighty ducks style! (though it wasn’t a knuckle puck, sadly)

I can’t believe a kevlar trans blanket isn’t at least required

I still can’t get over the fact that there are piston-engine powered vehicles doing sub 4 second quarter miles over 300mph......i mean really

Check engine light is only on because key in on position but engine not started.

It’s a volvo, has auto-emergency braking and pedestrian sensors out the yinyang

FYI the driver probably didn’t even apply the brakes. That’s a Volvo, it did it on its own. Pedestrian sensors out the yinyang

Difference is this one actually is functional and not just for looks. Thing NEEDS that cooling.

Does this count? I learned stick on it too! Kubota LA1001

Fact of the matter is it’s still absurdly rare. Is it a manufacturing defect? Yeah, probably. Are some of them probably debris hitting that people don’t realize? Yeah, probably. Is it a widespread issue everyone has to be scared of? No, not even close.

nope, the 32a is a rotational sensor, the ones mounted aren’t. They’re the vlp-16

Found the real answer, they just went with the cheapest lidar on the market right now, only 8grand a sensor. So with those ones it makes sense to use a lot of them. Same company’s highest end ones which people would use to just have one or two are 6figures a pop

Found the sensors: http://www.velodynelidar.com/vlp-16.html

Some of the cheapest on the market at only $8K a pop. So makes sense to just use loads of them instead of fewer of the really expensive ones which can run into 6 figures

Uh....does that thing seriously have 12 separate lidar sensors along with cameras? Dear god that’s a lot of data
