Meanwhile i’m sitting in a house with a full home automation system from 1985 that still works a charm. Full outlet/light control via X10, sprinkler control, individual room temp control, security, etc. All with a touchscreen!
i’m gonna go ahead and say SpaceX has earned the benefit of the doubt here that they know what they’re doing.
None have been reused yet, they hope to get that in 3-4 months, they want to study all the returned boosters and test fire them a bunch on the ground first prior to reuse. Ultimately reusing a first stage should decrease launch cost by 20-40%. Possibly higher in the future
