No, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they pre-recorded all the ambient vocal stuff in the background at the end of the song. Unless they have two or three talented backup singers in the group, they probably couldn’t pull that stuff off without a backing track. And once you bring in vocal backing tracks, the definition

It’s the synths. There are at least a half dozen synth tones on that song, one prominent one that pulses in rhythm with the beat. Pulling that kinda thing off in the context of a full set in 1984 would’ve been a nightmare.

I was just listening to that record and my first thought was “how could a band pull this off live in ~84?”

Can we assume there is a small, waste-level-ish hole in this wall? Sounds like there would be.

Another Belgian american hiding behind his bocce championships...nice try, pal.

I guess that’s one in the Pro column for Trump over Bush: won’t be swayed by bad (or good...or any) advice from Hawks.

It’s because people care more about tribal victory than outcomes. Humans feel better when they’re “winning” even if “losing” means doing better.

It’s truly unfair to conflate mental illness with being a horse’s ass.

Interesting choice going after him for a joke calling Trump out over the racist birther thing. This is some real ouroborus-grade spinning.

Given her comment on the director, I would wager that “had no fun” is Hollywood-speak for “the director was a terrible a-hole who spent months berating everyone on set”.

Yeah...my mom inexplicably went from progressive-hippy-artist-union-member to pro-MAGA-NRA-Bible-thumper in ten years time. It’s a complete mystery to the family.

Bleck bleck bleck!

I’m about halfway through the “remix”, and it’s considerably more enjoyable (save for there being a painful amount of episode recapping, which is totally unnecessary for a show on netflix). It’s actually pretty surprising how much better it works.

I just excitedly bought every flavor they make at a Walmart in S.C. (they only carry one flavor where I live) and did a tasting. Their chili & garlic will henceforth be a staple, mail-order be damned.

NOT. GRITTY. ENOUGH.

The big flowy slacks really help balance out things as well.
