It really feels like MySpace 2005 vs. MySpace 2015.

Good guesses. Alternatively, I would’ve accepted:

David Frum was speculating it may be because they’re expecting something quite significant to come out of the investigation in the very near term, and it’s a desperate attempt to preemptively muddy the waters. That’s about the only other explanation that makes sense to me.

Yeah, but then they’d have to stop the song or something to remind us that he’s dead. Really no way around it.

Yeah, not a single part of the film involving special effects made a lick of sense. The sad thing is that the movie didn’t need any of that. They could’ve made a smart film with what they had just using the premise of ‘machine goes on, crews from separate time lines get mixed together’. Could’ve made a neat

Well, it has the word “die” in it a lot, to remind us all that he died. What other song could they have used?

Nah, dude. Jack survives the fire, but later all the kids get swept up in a cult and ritualistically murder him, Children of the Corn style.

My wife stopped watching it with me after about three straight episodes of me interrupting every scene with speculation about who murders Jack. The whole mystery element seemed wildly out of place to me.

Are new cassettes at least dirt cheap? Because I fail to see the value aside from 100% novelty. They sound shitty and have little shelf life. At least with a vinyl+code purchase you get big, pretty art work and a physical medium that arguably sounds better.

I hate that band.

I just assumed they’re not actually back on earth, and it’s just a reset in another simulation. If Michael can actually reverse time, bring people back to life, etc., then he’s basically been God the whole time (spoiler alert?).

And that’s why they hate us...

Well, then how are all your favorite brands supposed target market to your demo, Mr. Know It All?

Yeah, it’s baffling to me how a memo detailing his opinion could be taken as credible evidence of anything. We likely won’t see the actual intel or it’s context, and thanks to Pelosi (that feels funny to write...), we already know that these panels are cherry picking damning details while completely ignoring

Didn’t the river catch fire there once? How about the Cleveland Fire Waters?

Larry David makes pasta now?

“then they were never willing to negotiate in good faith”

That’s how you know how fucked we are: other people get fired for just being around the shit he does.

But Shape of Water did do well at the box office relative to budget. Blade Runner lost 80 million. You could make Shape of Water 4 times, never screen it, burn all the footage, and the studio would be better off than they were making Blade Runner. Industry voters aren’t likely casting ballots for an albatross of that

Ack! Thanks for the Portal reminder. The riffs on this thing seem way more discernible than the impenetrable nonsense of their previous releases. I knew they’d go pop...
