“Women are sacred, except for the selfish Frederica Wilson.”

(Spoiler alert!) His neighbors were The Talking Heads!

I’ve been WAITING for y’all to get to this story.

Grunge was still not punk. Lots of crossover for fans I’m sure, but Grunge is a thing completely separate from punk rock. Anyone who would use the two interchangeably is an idiot. It’s like saying “I was really into the reggae scene for a while. I was obsessed Sublime as a kid.”

Yeah and having a guy at work tell me about driving his wife, two little girls, in-laws and dog out of that inferno after being woken up at midnight is also pretty damn scary.

Pfft, come on. That’s not scary. This is:

I thought the same. Also:

You should read the book Black Cauldron is based on, it’s by Lloyd Alexander. It’s a kid’s book but it’s based on Welsh mythology so it’s got some weird shit going on. Lot of death and shapeshifting.

Dude, the Horned King was scary as shit! It probably didn’t hurt that he was voiced by John Hurt.

My younger sister was really into the Black Cauldron and also the Last Unicorn (not Disney, but cartoon) when she was about 5 and both scared the crap out of me.

I watched it in the theater (am old) and was genuinely creeped out for the first 20 mins or so.

I watched it a couple of years ago and thought it was still scary.

I hate scary movies and went on that with a date who loved them. I was freaked out the whole time and then when it got legit creepy I wanted no more. I just don’t enjoy things that make me afraid of what might happen next.

Try ‘The Others’ with Nicole Kidman. Good stuff!

As a kid, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice terrified me. That scene when Mickey’s broom multiplies and becomes a menacing, marching broom army...

Replying to myself because I can’t believe I forgot to include The Changeling (1980, with George C. Scott, not the one with Angelina Jolie.) It’s one of my all-time favourites, and it’s got all of one jump scare moment.

THAT’S what I want to watch tonight. The atmosphere and the building tension?! Also, I love me a scared Kidman.

This was my daughter’s favorite movie growing up. Yet she was terrified to the point of hysterical sobbing by “Murder on the Orient Express”. Go figure.

I think it was the first movie to cash in on internet viral marketing. I remember hearing about it from friends who said they read it was actual found footage. I mean, it didn’t take long to debunk it, but it’s not like we could check on our smart phones right away. Had to wait til we got home and dialed up to Prodigy

They really did an amazing job with their small budget. Shooting with hand held cameras in black and white really gave it the appropriate mood and feeling of uneasy seasickness. And although the internet was new they set up a website all about the Blair witch lore making it seem a more believable story. Excellent
