But grey is so much more interesting. Gray is dull. Bland.

I work at a Belgian university, and we (female staff) are on strike today too (for very obvious sexism-in-academia reasons). Happy international women’s day, ladies!

OT:

But if you had replaced your appendix with an iPhone...

Luckily I have good insurance (SEIU 1199, represent!), so I paid but a thousand. But that’s still a lot of money, especially for someone who can’t afford it.

Wait, we are olds now? Fuck.

I hope the nuns and priests have to work under the same conditions they forced these innocent young women to work. Let them work for 16, 18 hours a day beyond human endurance for what they did. Let them be fed starvation rations and sleep in stiflingly hot or bitterly cold rooms.

I feel like the quote is a bit out of context though (just a side note, the quote you have above may not be the full quote and other articles seem to be omitting part of quote her as well and passing it on as the full quote). She was simply stating her opinion about a specific set of music videos from Beyonce’s album

Oy, thanks for posting this. I had a feeling Watson wasn’t the type to shame another woman for her sexuality given she’s talked at length about the OMGYes website which teaches and encourages women to literally explore their own sexuality.

If this helps, no one ever gives context to that quote. It was part of a longer conversation between her and Tavi Gevinson, and they eventually both come to the conclusion (in the same conversation) that Beyonce’s art was empowering because she had control of it. The Emma quote is basically just a way of introducing

I’d say she was being hypocritical if she had said that, like, yesterday.

What do you mean, the ‘old’ one? I’m quite sure it was never remade, what would have been the point?

It’s been ages since I’ve seen that movie, but I recall that one of the prisoners was committed for being attractive, and another because she had “let” herself get raped.

If’n I had the money, I’d throw myself a freaking candy themed party every year.

Same with Nickelback - they wouldn’t be my first choice to listen to, but when you’ve got all these people defending an actual abusive ass like Chris Brown this week? I’ll go with the non abusive dudes who make generic music and sound like they are nice guys.

Um, that party sounds amazing. I can’t think of anyone more harmless than Chris Martin, so I do not get the snark.

I’m just gonna say it: I like Coldplay. I think Chris Martin seems like a really nice, sweet, nerdy guy AND I think he’s cute. I think themed parties are fun no matter how old you are. That’s it.

Oh how can you not like Chris Martin? He’s like a giant puppy, he was so excited to be playing next to Beyonce at the Superbowl that I wanted to cuddle him.

I respect that choice, Chris Martin. Live your best life.
