My dad was the oldest of 5. When he turned 16, my Grandfather bought him a brand new Torino GT. Dad was the luckiest kid in town. Until a year and a half later, when Grandpa took the car back and gave it to my Aunt for her 16th birthday. Dad had to buy his own car—a used Mustang, and my Aunt was mad because she didn’t

My best friend and I were 11. I distinctly remember his dad calling us away from the Super Nintendo to watch the chase. Eventually we returned to Final Fantasy II (IV to the youths) and got periodic verbal summaries from the other room. I remember the trial dragging on forever, and my Grandmother thinking very poorly

I rented an Edge Platinum for a Yellowstone trip last summer. Not my cup of tea, but perfect for that job and a pretty nice highway cruiser.

If they would just make them with two gigantic doors like those old PLCs, I’d consider owning one.

Maybe it is different in different places -- around here, every infinity is driven by a retired woman.

First engine I thought of, as well.

I took a look at Ray’s stats, and it check out— He’s exactly the kind of guy who would get upset if you took away his PARTICIPATION TROPHY.

“...people who want manual transmissions will always want manual transmissions...”

I’d be inclined to like most of these nice 0ff roadable ‘Yotas, but they insist in putting TuRD right there in the name....

Hudsucker Proxy Star for you!

Introducing the new line of H-D full dresser touring coffins...

This was the first car my mother purchased brand new. She called it the “Austere”. Unsleeved aluminum engine ate itself just a few months after the warranty period.

I bought a new Turbo/AWD/TourX Wagon last year. I would have bought a manual if that had been an option—at present, I’m just happy I didn’t have to settle for a CVT.

I feel there is some irony in here somewhere, but I can’t put my finger on it.

Liquid hot magma next to a fire hydrant?!?!

BMW is still playing catch up in the Big Grille game.

4th:  Silverados, no.  Sierrias, however, yes.

Edit:  Remembered this is Jalopnik, recognized I should have chosen 1987 for the sweet GM G-bodies.  Then I remembered there were a lot of left over ‘87's on the lot in ‘88.   Sticking with ‘88.

I liked the “Old Normal”, too.
