God I love these movies so much

There was Fast 5. Weep not for the missing "Fast" here, it had its moment.

Especially - wasn't Robbie, like, Cece's "look, Schmidt, I don't need you" boyfriend? You'd think she'd introduce him with all of the interesting things about him to everyone for that reason alone

Listing various forms of foreshadowing by the showrunners = "speculation", now?

So I googled this after seeing previews and it lead me down a rabbit hole of looking for a US-based Pope (because of the American accents in the early previews, even Jude Law (which I may have misheard?)) and anyway I discovered a fun Catholic cult in the northwest (that apparently one of my ex boyfriends is a member

I miss the Erica/Gail relationship. They used to be so close and so happy together.

the opening notes of Tears in Heaven followed by "you know what this song is about?"

"but spliced with some of the more horrible aspects of Mischa Barton's character from the OC."

Maybe I missed something, but I don't think it is 100% clear that Ford didn't want to be the last man standing in the massacre. (I mean, I must be, because I seem to stand alone in this). My big sticking point is that immediately before she kills him, we see Dolores having her "consciousness" talk with herself - but

Assuming Elsie is alive and that she reprogrammed those ghost warriors, does that mean that she and Hemsworth3 will be the only living humans left in the park? (presumably they'd evacuate everyone else after Ford's massacre of the Delos board?)

So the word "fucking" means it can't be YA? Interesting to prescribe such puritanical rules on this, of all books ;)

I'm not snarking - I don't think there is anything inherently "less than" about YA (in fact, I would argue that YA is often lumped in with "chick lit" as a "non-literary" genre because of sexism)

I wasn't a huge fan of the book (I think it is over-hyped - understandably so, as it has such important themes - and doesn't quite work as a "this is where our society could be headed" dystopia so much as a fantasy), but I definitely could see when reading it how it might be adapted into something better. So I am

It's…pretty much YA. Sorry.

I too am obsessed with the Totes Yall bag detail. I get that the Girls were putting on a "fancy Southern ladies by the pool with servants" thing, but they spent $165 on a tote bag for the occasion?!

Maybe the job pays in good scotch

That "Totes Y'all" bag is from Reese Witherspoon's southern-themed clothing line and is ridiculously overpriced ($165 - https://www.draperjames.com… and so it was all I could see in that scene

I was also disappointed after they show Rory looking at old microfiche of the town Gazette talking about her mother - and then those articles never came up again. Like, if she were going to write a non-fiction book about her mother, why not pull all of those? (Also as a viewer I'd have liked to have seen them, myself

The "write a book about your own family!" was just waaaaay too Little Women for me.

I loved the musical too. I admit that it seemed lika a pacing issue, but only because of the brevity of these episodes. If the Musical (and Lorelai's character arc surrounding it) were a stand alone episode in a full season, it would be up with the Dance Marathon as one of the greats.
