I’m speechless, but with 36,895 comments, I haven’t always been speechless.  This post is the best prize ever!  Thanks so much, Andrew!

The issue is that John Deere’s proprietary tech is ridiculously invasive. If you have to wait for a tech every damn time you have a breakdown during harvest - and all of your neighbors have to wait for a tech too - that’s a ton of lost time. And techs aren’t cheap either.

Something did.  They bought a GM product.

GMT400 forever. I’m not a truck guy, and maybe it's the 90s nostalgia talking, but those were nice-looking, unpretentious trucks.

It’s only appropriate, everyone knows that jaundiced yellow headlights are a symptom of kidney failure.

Good question and that leads to a thought. Want to make electric cars more viable for the aftermarket? Make an electric motor that bolts in place to replace a GM small block Chevy. Do the same for a 302/351 Windsor, and LA block Chrysler. Make it so that the electric motor uses the same motor mounts and can bolt to a

I’ve always thought there is a market for EV conversion kits (or even full-on turnkey conversions) for the “hipster Benz” Diesel W123. This could become the “Singer of the Benz world”. Anyone with the knowhow want to collaborate on a prototype?

I’m not gonna lie, the thought of old cars getting new life by having an electric drivetrain swapped in interests me greatly. Especially luxury brands.

It’s interesting that they are bumping up against the ring and pinion for torque limit. I think back in the TJ era a Dana 44 was a helluva upgrade axle set, but given the weight and size gain of these things it sounds like they are just barely keeping pace. I think the Wrangler is getting the point where it can’t get

Was going to say this. For this kind of money I can buy a slightly used F150, a trailer and a Mahindra Roxor and be out the door for less money with a better off road vehicle and a better on road vehicle.

This is probably the nicest 22 year old Aerostar I’ve seen.   The problem is that price will buy you a much better 10 years newer Odyssey or Sienna.  The Sienna can be had with AWD if you need that.   This doesn’t seem all the appealing to me at this price.  At $2K I’d probably NP it, not at twice that.

This, this so much. To sit there and point the blame on something, i feel like Jessi wouldn't care about that. She'd care about that record though.

GM wanted to turn those Cadillac healthcare plans into Chevrolet healthcare plans. The UAW argued that Cadillacs aren’t really very special anymore.

When your old truck needs more horse power, throw one in the bed.

It’s going to take me a long, long time to come around on that front end. I appreciate that they swung for the fences, but, man. Catfish vibes.

+1 ghost of Kia Borregos past

Hideous. Crack Pipe. The curved C-pillars do not lend themselves to wagon duty, especially with such a linear, squared-off set of quarter panel windows. The example below—while still gross—appears to use the back portion of a third or fourth-generation Taurus wagon, looks a tad better.

Close to home. Long roof. Work looks nicely done... What the hell NP. Sure as hell beats this monstrosity (found when searching Marquis Colony Park):

Chevy made a Lexus RX and called it a Blazer.
